Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Roost browser extension and website. By installing or using Roost, or purchasing Roost Pro, you agree to them.

Roost is provided by Mohammad Ashik Elahi (operating as hakeemify.com) ("we", "us"). Contact: support@hakeemify.com.

1. The service

Roost is a browser extension that saves, restores, searches, and organizes your browser tabs and sessions. A free tier is available, and a paid "Pro" tier unlocks additional features via a one-time purchase and license key.

2. License to use Roost

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Roost for your own use, subject to these terms. You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Extension or your license key;
  • share your Pro license key beyond the permitted number of device activations;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law;
  • use Roost to break the law or infringe others' rights.

3. Pro purchases, license keys & payment

Roost Pro is a one-time purchase (currently $5, subject to change) that unlocks Pro features. Your purchase is processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (or another authorized reseller). Paddle handles billing, applicable taxes, and receipts, and its terms also apply to the transaction (Paddle buyer terms).

On purchase you receive a license key valid for up to a set number of device activations (currently 3). Keys are for your own use and must not be shared or resold. We may deactivate keys that are shared, abused, or obtained fraudulently.

4. Your data

Your saved sessions and tab data stay on your device; you own that data. Our handling of the limited data we do process is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

We (and our licensors) own all rights in the Roost software, brand, and website. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you beyond the license granted above.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Roost is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Roost will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every browser version. Any RAM or memory figures shown are estimates, not guarantees.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Roost. Our total liability for any claim relating to Roost will not exceed the amount you paid for it (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using Roost and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, liability) survive termination.

9. Third-party services

Roost relies on third parties such as Paddle (payments), Cloudflare (infrastructure), your browser vendor, and an email provider. Their terms and policies apply to their respective services.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, note them on this page. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
